MEET Colin
Founder & Caretaker
Hi! I’m Colin, the founder and caretaker of Camp Sticks. The term ‘dog enthusiast’ doesn't quite cover it— I have always been surrounded by dogs. As a hobby, my parents bred golden retrievers. Through the years, we raised and found great homes for dozens of goldens. At one point, we found ourselves surrounded by 22 golden retrievers, with two litters coinciding.
Here, the values instilled in me by my parents took root. Kindness and respect towards animals became second nature, forming the foundation of my lifelong commitment to providing the best for our four-legged friends.
Today, I bring that same dedication to Camp Sticks. With over 5 years of professional dog care experience, I have developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in how dogs interact with one another.
In every bark, tail wag, and joyful moment at Camp Sticks, you'll witness the culmination of my lifelong passion for dogs and commitment to their well-being. Join me in creating a haven where our four-legged friends thrive, surrounded by the love, care, and expertise that define the Camp Sticks experience.
Meet Lloyd
Good Boy & The Real Boss
Hi, I’m Lloyd, the dog, and true ruler of this house. A native of Pittsburgh, I was born at the reputable Goldenrod Kennels. Since then, I have been by Colin’s side, joining him in his adventure from the Steel City to Denver.
Every human is my best friend. While I enjoy the company of other dogs, I’m in it for the people. Yes, you may pet me. Belly rubs and butt scratches are top preference.
My favorite foods include but are by no means limited to pizza, and donuts, and chips, and peanut butter, and bread, and tacos, and burritos, and pizza, and Chinese food, and literally anything left on a plate, or counter. Hell, throw it in the trash and leave the lid open. I'll take a crack at it. I also love butter. I'll down a whole stick of butter if Colin isn’t looking.
Now, as good of a boy as I am, there is one rule. Do not take my tennis balls! Those orbs of happiness are mine. All of them. Even the ones other dogs bring over. If you have a tennis ball, throw it. It will not be returned.
Anyway, I’d love to welcome you to Camp Sticks. It really is a great time here. Hope to see you soon!
